Tabex is a medicinal product to be used to gradually reduce the body's dependence on nicotine and wean it from smoking without nicotine withdrawal symptoms.

Composition

The active substance is: cytisine (Cytisinum).

1 tablet contains 1.5 mg of cytisine.

Excipient: lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, talc, magnesium stearate; coating composition: hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, titanium dioxide, polyethylene glycol 3000, tracetin, yellow iron oxide, red iron oxide, black iron oxide.

Dosage

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.

Medicine for oral use. Take with an appropriate amount of water.

Treatment duration is 25 days.

A smoker should quit smoking completely no later than 5 days after starting treatment.

A person who has given up smoking cannot, under any circumstances, afford to smoke even one cigarette. The durability of the treatment result depends on this.

If the result of therapy is unsatisfactory, treatment should be discontinued and treatment restarted after 2 to 3 months.

Tabex contains cytisine. Cytisine is an alkaloid that acts on nicotinic receptors. Cytisine competes with nicotine for the same receptors, binds more strongly, and gradually displaces nicotine from them. This allows you to gradually reduce the body's dependence on nicotine and wean you from smoking without any withdrawal symptoms.
